The Chiefs’ offensive struggles loomed large over the first half of the game after Kansas City gave up two turnovers in the first quarter and committed several penalties in the back-and-forth matchup against Los Angeles.

One of the Chiefs’ few offensive standout players was running back Kareem Hunt, who signed for a second stint in Kansas City last week after playing for the Cleveland Browns for the last five seasons with the Cleveland Browns.

Hunt, who initially entered the NFL as a third-round selection of the Chiefs in the 2017 NFL draft, dazzled in his return, to action, leading Kansas City in rushing yards against the Chargers.

With running back Isiah Pacheco sidelined for the foreseeable future, the Chiefs need their stable of talented running backs to step up to remain undefeated, and Hunt answered the call with 14 carries for 69 yards.
