Patrick Mahomes appearance on WWE Raw goes viral
Don’t look now, but professional wrestling has made a resurgent return to the world of entertainment. World Wrestling Entertainment, or WWE, was incredibly popular in the 1990s and early 2000s, but experienced a sharp decline in popularity in the late 2010s and early 2020s.
However, the first quarter of 2024 suggests the sport could be making a comeback as viewership is up 15% year-on-year. We’re seeing more and more pop culture figures and well-known athletes make appearances, and that continued this past weekend as well.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was ringside at the latest “WWE Raw” event and was close enough to the action that it looks like he was almost a part of it.
Former WWE strongman Braun Strowman tried to drag Mahomes into action on Monday. However, the Half Million Dollar Man had a pretty compelling reason for Strowman to find someone else to pick on.

As Strowman stopped and approached Mahomes, Chiefs center Creed Humphrey and guard Trey Smith stood up and let him know he was barking up the wrong tree.
Humphrey, a former second-round pick out of Oklahoma, is listed at 6-foot-4, 302 pounds and is one of the most physically dominant players in the league at just 24 years old. One of the reasons for his physical prowess is a long history of success as a wrestler, which he started doing when he was four years old.
Smith, who is even more monstrous at 6-foot-6 and 321 pounds, is also just 24 years old and works alongside Humphrey to create one of the best IOL tandems in the NFL.
It was certainly in Strowman’s best interest to continue climbing into the ring and stop challenging the back-to-back Super Bowl champion quarterback, and Smith made sure to let everyone know that “QB1 is off limits.”
With the show in Kansas City on Monday night, this was of course quite popular with the crowd.
But Mahomes got involved in the show later. Well, at least their Super Bowl rings did.
