Playoffs Divisional Round: Chiefs vs. Texans
The playoffs are here! After a much appreciated bye week (thank you, Fitzmagic!), the Chiefs welcome the Houston Texans to Arrowhead for the divisional round of the playoffs. The last times these two faced each other was in a week 6 shootout, where the Texans topped the Chiefs 31 – 24. A lot has changed since then. Deshaun is always dangerous, but this is not the same defense he faced in week 6. This Chiefs D is the real deal. The last six games of the regular season have been nothing short of incredible. Pure dominance. And then, we bolster our D further with the acquisition of Terrell Suggs… Suffice to say, I do not foresee a repeat of week 6. I envision another dominant performance from the KC D, forcing Deshaun to get creative. And since the Chiefs offense is the best in the league, there will be added pressure on Deshaun to take chances that could result in turnovers.
For those playing the small slate on DraftKings this week, roster the Chiefs D with confidence. I also anticipate a big day for Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is the most talented QB in the league and he has more weapons than he knows what to do with… Although, tomorrow my favorite receiving option for him is Travis Kelce. Kelce is the best TE in the game. The Texans have struggled defending the tight end this year and Kelce is known for showing up in the big games. Lock him in! Since it is a small slate and Mahomes spreads the ball, you can also get creative by adding Mecole Hardman to your Chiefs stack. Hardman is crushing in Special Teams, has opportunities for the deep ball, and gets carries from time to time. There are a lot of ways for this man to score. Stack him with the Chiefs D in the event he runs one back and you receive double the points! Tomorrow is going to be fun. Go Chiefs!!
