Prediction and betting odds for Chiefs vs Texans in Week 16
With their path to the postseason already locked in, the Kansas City Chiefs (13-1) are now fighting to maintain their lead for the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed when they host the Houston Texans (9-5) in Week 16.
The Texans are not likely to overcome Kansas City’s momentum after the hurdles the Chiefs have cleared to become the top team by record, however, they should be a bigger threat than the Cleveland Browns were last week.
Houston possesses talent on both sides of the ball, and second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud has demonstrated great ability as a passer. However, the Texans continue to struggle when facing division-leading teams like the Detroit Lions, who defeated them 26-23.

Chiefs vs. Texans prediction, pick:
Kansas City is expected to win over Houston in Week 16. While the Texans have strung together an impressive campaign, the Chiefs are dominant, possessing a defense that has come into its own in the latter half of the season and should have no problem limiting Houston’s yardage in the matchup. Patrick Mahomes’ ankle sprain will limit his run game but it should not slow down the pace of Kansas City’s offense against the Texans.
Although the Chiefs are likely to win, their margin of victory this week may not be great enough to cover the 3.5-point spread.
Final score: Chiefs 30, Texans 27
