Week 15: Chiefs vs. Broncos
The Chiefs return to Arrowhead after defeating the New England Patriots to take on their AFC West Division rival Denver Broncos. The Chiefs dominated the Broncos 30 – 6 earlier this season in a game where Patrick Mahomes left early with a dislocated kneecap. This Broncos team is on their third quarterback for the year, but apparently third time is a charm for these Broncos as they wiped the floor with the Houston Texans last week. A Houston Texans team that has defeated both the Chiefs and the Patriots this year. Drew Lock, the Bronco rookie behind center, also happens to be a Kansas City native… so there will be a lot of energy from both teams coming into tomorrow’s game.
Patrick Mahomes banged up his hand during last week’s win over the Patriots, but the swelling has gone down a great deal. He took his normal allotment of practice reps on Friday so he should be ready to air it out tomorrow. This game has the potential to be a highflying affair with two gunslingers dueling it out in Arrowhead. However, as we witnessed last week, the Chiefs D has been playing lights out so this game could also turn nasty for the rookie real fast. I personally lean toward the latter as I have mad respect for the Chiefs secondary. They defeated the Super Bowl champions on their home field last week and as long as our boys keep their eyes on the prize, tomorrow should be another dominant performance. Let’s talk Chiefs stack!
Patrick Mahomes (7100) – Mahomes is coming in around 8% owned and he is playing at home. His hand seems fine, so roster our captain with confidence and… Show-Me-The-Money Mahomes!
Sammy Watkins (4900) – Sammy sent a message to his DFS fans last week, preparing us for a big game… and I believe it. At 4900 on DK, he is a steal. Look for Slammin’ Sammy to slam in a score or more this week.
Demarcus Robinson (3200) – DRob has been missing out on some deep balls with the emergence of Mecole Hardman, but he is still lining up in three-receiver sets and getting the looks. He and Mahomes have the rapport, I believe tomorrow he at least doubles his value.
Go Chiefs!!
