The final game of the regular season is here as the Chiefs finish 2019 in Arrowhead stadium versus the Los Angeles Chargers. The last time these two teams faced each other was Week 11 in Mexico City. It was a hard fought defensive battle, but the Chiefs left Estadio Azteca with a 24 – 14 win over their AFC west rival.
A lot has happened in the last month. The Chargers are completely out of the playoff race and are merely playing for pride, contract extensions, and performance bonuses. For the Chiefs, a number 2 seed and an uncontested trip to the second round of the playoffs is a possibility. Tomorrow, I am predicting vintage Patrick Mahomes. We haven’t seen a 5 TD day this year from our reigning MVP, but tomorrow I think we just may… That’s right, our boys are going to finish up the regular season in highflying Chiefs fashion to carry into the playoffs.
The Chiefs stack for me this week is Mahomes to Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins. Travis Kelce had a big game against the Chargers in Mexico City and definitely could again tomorrow, but I believe the Chiefs are going to make a point to get Sammy Watkins involved in the offense this week. With Sammy Watkins’s price tag at 4500 and Kelce’s at 7K on DraftKings, it also makes salary cap sense.
