Week 6: Mahomes Matchup – Chiefs vs. Texans
Week 5 was a heartbreaker. It was one injury after the next for the Chiefs, both offensively and defensively, resulting in a 13-19 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. It’s still looking rather grim as far as the injuries go with offensive tackle Eric Fisher, defensive tackle Chris Jones both out and Sammy Watkins doubtful for Sunday against the Texans. Mahomes ankle is not yet perfect, but he says he feels pretty good and that he can run and cut off of it. He’s active against the Texans. Tyreek Hill is questionable and currently a game-time decision. Having Tyreek back would be a huge boost for the Chiefs as his speed is simply on another level. Mahomes has some speedy weapons with Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson, but they can’t quite stretch the field like the Cheetah can… If Tyreek Hill plays, roster him with confidence. The questionable tag will have him low owned in a very juicy matchup. He is currently underpriced at 6900 on DraftKings, so if he is a go take advantage!
With a 55.5 O/U, Vegas predicts this game to shoot out. I agree. This game is going to be a fun one. The two highest flying offenses in the league in Arrowhead on what is expected to be a perfectly sunny day. Mahomes is one of the most talented quarterbacks to play the game. He is destined to bounce back here. The Texans have given up the third-most passing yards to QBs this season and are among the worst in pass coverage. I predict a massive game for Show-Me-The-Money Mahomes and will be rostering him in my main lineup on Draftkings.
CHIEFS STACK
If Tyreek Hill is cleared, pair him with Mahomes. He is underpriced and Sammy Watkins is not playing. Kelce is due for a huge game, the Texans suck against defending the TE, so if you can afford it add him to your stack as well. Mahomes – Hill – Kelce.
If Tyreek does not play, it makes it a little more difficult which receiver to pair Mahomes with. Pringle, Hardman, and Robinson all become viable. Pringle is so cheap, you could potentially pair him with Hardman or Robinson and Kelce… I also am a believer in Andy Reid’s running backs being involved in the passing game, so you can definitely roster one of them as well. The hard part is deciding who! Damian Williams is probably the safest bet, although McCoy could be a great contrarian play. My pick if Hill is out, Mahomes – Pringle – Hardman (he’s a tad cheaper than DRob) – Kelce.
Go Chiefs!!
