Chiefs fans are holding their collective breath as news about Travis Kelce’s knee injury spreads like wildfire. The injury was said to be a hyperextension that was suffered during today’s practice which puts Travis’ availability for Thursday night’s opener against the Lions in doubt for week 1.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport updated Travis’ status and it looks like the Chiefs may have dodged a bullet as far as a long-term injury goes. Kelce could still very well miss week 1 but the team will continue to monitor the situation tomorrow and Thursday.
