Reid and Mahomes were upset with a game-altering offside call on Kadarius Toney, who denied a crazy onside touchdown. Reid called the officials who flagged Toney on the play “disgraceful,” prompting him to receive a a fine of $100,000 for “violating longstanding league rules prohibiting public criticism of game officials,” according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapaport.

Mahomes went on a rant on the field after the penalty, and the NFL made sure to take a big chunk out of its wallet as well. Mahones was fined $50,000 for “unsportsmanlike conduct” for abusive, threatening or insulting language toward officials,” along with his public critical comments, according to Rapaport.

Mahomes later apologized for his antics and the hefty fine might make him think twice about repeating the behavior in the future.
