Predictions for Chiefs vs. Saints on ‘Monday Night Football’ in Week 5

The Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings are the only two undefeated teams in the NFL, but with the New Orleans Saints coming to town on Monday night, the defending Super Bowl champions will have to improve on their past performances to advance to 5-0.
The Saints, led by former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, have been an impressive team thus far despite their 2-2 record. After a brutal loss in Week 4 to the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans is looking to bounce back, and a game against the Chiefs in primetime presents the perfect opportunity to make a statement.
Kansas City will have to deal with its former safety Tyrann Mathieu patrolling the secondary and must be judicious in the passing game. Expect running back Kareem Hunt to have a solid game as he continues to learn the offense since returning to his former team.
As much as I’d like to predict a blowout for Monday’s game, the Chiefs seem to have a knack for keeping games entirely too close.
Final score: Chiefs 23, Saints 20
