Salvador Perez, Chiefs fans get pumped up for home opener vs. Ravens
The Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the NFL’s 2024 regular season tonight in a rematch of January’s AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.
The highly-anticipated tilt promises to be full of exciting moments as the AFC heavyweights vie for a 1-0 start to their seasons, and could be a preview of yet another playoff matchup.
Both teams made high-profile signings in free agency that bolstered their offenses. Baltimore acquired star running back Derrick Henry to rejuvenate its ground game, while the Chiefs opted to pick up former Ravens pass catcher Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown to add depth to their receiving corps.
Henry is expected to play for Baltimore on Thursday night, while Brown is set to sit out of the Week 1 matchup after sustaining an injury in the preseason.
Despite Brown’s absence, Chiefs fans on Twitter were fired up about Kansas City’s home opener and posted about their excitement ahead of kickoff.
